Well first off Hello and welcome to my page. This is all a bit new to me as i am only use to using Instagram. But here goes.
Hello my name is Becky and i am 28 years old from Berkshire in the United Kingdom.
i am a full time mummy to my two crazy kiddies who are Ada-Mae and Eli.
Ada is a beautiful bubbly 4 year old with amazing blonde hair a bright blue eyes. Eli is a delightful 4 month old baby with currently dark brown eyes!
Before i had Ada and Covid-19 struck i worked as a self employed Hairdresser and i was also trained in aspects of the beauty industry like Lashes, Nails, Tanning and more. Being self-employed was great you got to work your own hours there for i worked whenever possible mainly Saturday's early until really late. Saturdays are always high demand for hair and beauty even late nights in the week as people working cant come in the general 9-5 working day. I managed to work for myself for around 4 years before falling pregnant with Ada. Pregnancy was hard for me i just in general didn't get on with it. Sickness, Dizziness, Painful Hips and back ECT. i ended up having to finish working around October time (due date was the new year) so roughly two months before my due date. I was very determined that Ada was going to come in the new year and was very stressed that i could potentially would have a Christmas baby.
But luck have it i had ada 3 DAYS before Christmas!
She clearly knew when to come to truly stress me out haha.
22nd of December around 1am i think i stated to get contractions but due to dental i was up all night with "Braxton hicks" it got to around 8/9am and i still lived with my parents at the time so my mum came downstairs and i straight away sed "mum i am having Braxton hicks how do i get rid of them" of which she followed with "i don't no i haven't had a baby for a long time. I cant remember". looking back now its funny. But the amount of denial i had that i was going to go into labour before 1st January was unreal.
Anyway i ended up having ada around 12:30pm at home. Not long after having Ada Covid-19 struck in the UK landing us in a lockdown. As much as it was hard not going out. We were all very lucky to spend this time with Ada as her dad, my mum and my dad were all furloughed. Safe to say she kept us all sane.
This is around the time i started to "do" instagram and i gained an audience of amazing mummy's of whom i am so so grateful for.
Lockdown really made an amazing "bubble" full of mummy's learning and growing together, making a beautiful community to sharing advice. such as if our babys were sick or teething as well as weaning advice and so on. Social media finally became a community to me and many others.
Now since lockdown and going onto maternity leave early i decided only to return to work for a few personal people such as an elderly care home as most of my clients had found other hairdressers of which to go to and as i was exclusively breastfeeding i had limited time for appointments and couldn't work the hours i did before. This led to me staying as a full time mum and working self employed here and their hairdressing but also managing to do some content creating and giving my honest opinions.
I will save my Eli story for a different post.
Anyway, Thanks for reading please let me know what you would like to see and read.
